Responsible Gambling

Bitcoin adds a twist to keeping play under control: a balance can grow or shrink in dollar terms while you are not betting at all. Gambling on this or any site is limited to adults, which means 18 at least and a higher minimum wherever national law sets one, and the habits below keep the budget fixed whatever the price does.

Fix the budget in your own currency

Decide the amount in dollars, euros or whatever you earn in, then convert. A limit written as 0.005 BTC is worth more after a rally and less after a fall, while a limit in your own currency means the same every day. Enter it in the casino’s deposit-limit setting so it is enforced for you.

A worked conversion

Say the weekly budget is $200. At the 9 October 2026 price of about $82,546, that is 0.00242 BTC, roughly 242,289 sats. If bitcoin then fell 25%, the same sats would be worth about $150; if it rose 25%, about $250. A limit entered in dollars stays at $200 either way, which is why a fiat figure is the safer one to set.

When you want a pause

  1. A cooling-off break, which locks the account for a set number of days.
  2. Self-exclusion, which bars you from that casino for months or years, as you decide.
  3. A national scheme, such as GAMSTOP for operators licensed in Great Britain or BetStop in Australia, which blocks you across all of them.
